Harold Lenselink
Harold Lenselink studied the piano and conducting at the Conservatory of Utrecht. He now works as a lecturer of choral conducting at the Conservatory of Alkmaar and as musical adviser of different organizations of the Netherlands, and Harold Lenselink is a member of the Dutch choral organization SNK/Unisono.
For more than 20 years, Mr. Lenselink has served as choir and orchestra conductor of the University of Utrecht and of the vocal jazz ensemble “Umbellifera”, which was founded by Lenselink himself.
He worked as guest lecturer at the Bavarian Music Academy in Marktoberdorf and Hammelburg (Germany), the German State Conservatory Karlsruhe, the French choral organization “A Coeur Joie” and the Dutch “SNK”.
As the conductor of his own groups, and as a guest conductor, Harold Lenselink has performed throughout Europe and in Israel. He has participated in international festivals like “Europa Cantat”, “Euro Chor”, “Choralies“ in Vaison la Romaine (France), “Zimriya“ in Jerusalem (Israel), “Euro Treff Baden-Württemberg” (Germany), “Vocal week” Wolfsberg (Austria), Kor72 (Denmark), “European Symposium on Choral Music“ in Ljubljana (Slowenia), “International Singing Week“ in Veszprem (Hungary) und “Internationaal Koorfestival“ in Arnheim (Netherlands). He is known as the director of many premiers of works from Dutch composers.
Harold Lenselink recieved several awards, including awards for his work in vocal jazz, and the “Festival Internacional orquestras de Joventes” in Murcia (Spain) for his interpretation of the “St. Matthew Passion” of J. S. Bach.
In 1993 and 1996 Harold Lenselink was conductor of the Polish-German choral academy „in terra pax“.
